David M. Gardner

Principal

David M Gardner has over 38 years of development experience in residential and commercial real estate. He started his career buying, selling and building single-family residential homes in the San Francisco Bay Area.

DMG Developments, Inc. was formed in 1984 and Gardner built numerous spec houses in Portola Valley and the surrounding areas. Interested in the commercial real estate market, Gardner went to work for Marcus & Millchap in Palo Alto in 1986, focusing on apartment investment sales.

In 1991, his attention shifted to affordable housing and he founded a modular home manufacturing facility in Paso Robles, California. Demand was great and the facility ramped up to producing a home every two days. After a feature piece on the company, DaeWoo approached DMG to set up and manage their modular manufacturing facility at Country Club Village in Honolulu. Gardner oversaw the purchasing and construction of an 830 multi-family, multi-story residential condominium project and launched their independent program.

He then moved to Grand Cayman where he designed, markets and pre-sold 32 large upscale condominiums on the prestigious Seven Mile Beach. By the mid-nineties, DMG returned to the Bay Area and found a niche in the research and development market. He focused on mid-sized R&D developments, including a 63,000 sf Sunnyvale building and the ILog building, a 36,000 sf project in Mountain View.

DMG chose to relocate to Tahoe City opting for the outdoor lifestyle to raise his three sons.  He built and sold multiple residential properties in the area. After purchasing 20 acres of prime Tahoe real estate in Olympic Valley, CA, he began the 211 unit luxury residential development, the Tahoe Boulders.Gardner continues to oversee all aspects of the project which is nearing it's completion. See www.TahoeBoulders.com.

An adventurer at heart, his lifestyle includes surfing, sailing, waterskiing, snowmobiling, snow skiing and mountain biking.
